Ma’at ist ein Begriff aus dem Alten Ägypten. Er steht für Wahrheit, Gerechtigkeit und die rechte Ordnung der Welt – für ein Leben im Gleichgewicht, in dem jeder Mensch seinen Platz und seine Würde hat. Dargestellt wurde Ma’at als Frau mit einer Feder; das Ankh-Zeichen ☥ steht für das Leben.

Diesen Namen haben wir bewusst gewählt. Wir glauben, dass jedes Kind ein Recht auf Bildung, Gesundheit und eine Zukunft in Würde hat – unabhängig davon, wo es geboren wurde. Unser Leitbild lautet deshalb: Wahrheit · Gerechtigkeit · Mitgefühl.
